Google Adwords Email Scam
It has come to our attention that several of our customers have received bogus emails from what looks like to come from Google Adwords, informing them that their payment could not be processed.
This is a phishing scam and if you click on what sais is a link to adwords.google.com/select/login will actually take you to adverkc.cn, a Chinese domain name, that is trying to get your bank details for fraudulent purposes.
If you received an email that looks like the following, please delete:
Dear Advertiser,
We were unable to process your payment.
Your ads will be suspended soon unless we can process your payment.
To prevent your ads from being suspended, please update your payment information.
Please sign in
to your account at http://adwords.google.com/select/login,
and update your payment information.
We look forward to providing you with the most effective advertising available.
Thank you for advertising with Google AdWords.
